BASF launches dashboard for sustainable procurement

BASF - BASF has released a new digital application designed to help customers gain a better overview of the sustainability status of the product portfolio they purchase from BASF. It also helps customers identify the best BASF solutions to reach their sustainability targets with regard to CO2 reduction and/or use of renewable raw materials. The app called “MyCarbonFootprint” contains data on over 700 selected large volume BASF products.


BASF and Noria Energy install first of its kind floating solar system

BASF - As part of its sustainability goal of achieving net zero CO2 emissions1 by 2050, BASF has installed an innovative proof-of-concept floating solar system at its McIntosh, Alabama manufacturing site. Noria Energy’s first of its kind floating solar system uses renewable energy to power three aerators used to improve the water quality of a scenic pond at the production facility.


While white and black still win, chromatic colors gain market share around the globe

BASF - As they have for several years, achromatic colors dominated the automotive market around the globe in 2022. But as BASF’s designers found in the company’s Color Report for Automotive OEM Coatings, the automotive color rainbow is expanding to allow colors like yellow, orange, green, and violet to take market share.


BASF and TECNALIA accelerate R&D of new crop protection products through digitalization

BASF - Protecting crops from diseases and pests is essential to sustainably improve yield on existing arable land to feed a growing population. BASF and TECNALIA, a European center for research and technological development, are collaborating in digitalization to accelerate the global research and development of new crop protection products.
