Belgische start-up roostert als eerste koffie op zonne-energie
RAY & JULES - Het roosteren van koffie stoot wereldwijd jaarlijks 15 miljoen ton CO2 uit, het equivalent van 5 miljard liter stookolie. Dat zette RAY & JULES, een start-up nabij Leuven, aan om een technologie te ontwikkelen die koffie roostert op basis van honderd procent zonne-energie. De slow-roasting methode van RAY & JULES is drie keer energie-efficiënter dan traditionele branders en garandeert een smaak- en aroma ontwikkeling van topkwaliteit.
