Productivity.be - FDT/DTM stond vroeger voor Field Device Tool / Device Type Manager, een combinatie van twee technologieën die samen gebruikt werden voor de configuratie en diagnose van intelligente instrumenten in de procesindustrie. Vandaag is de term FDT nog steeds een begrip in de procesindustrie, maar het is niet langer een acroniem voor Field Device Tool. Die host heet nu immers FRAME. (updated)
FDT IIoT Server (FITS)
Productivity.be - De FDT Group heeft de publicatie van de specificaties voor FITS, wat staat voor FDT IIoT Server, uitgesteld tot de tweede helft van 2019. Aanleiding is de beslissing om het systeem platformonafhankelijk te maken. FITS brengt de FDT-technologie naar het Industrial Internet of Things zodat mobiele devices, apps en de cloud toegang krijgen tot de zogenaamde Device Type Managers.
