Vliegende start voor Drone Dock in Oostende
POM West-Vlaanderen - POM West-Vlaanderen opende op dinsdag 26 september officieel Drone Dock naast het Vlaams Luchtvaartopleidingscentrum (VLOC) in de Nieuwpoortsesteenweg in Oostende. Hogeschool VIVES neemt de uitbating van dit nieuw innovatie- en democentrum voor drones voor zijn rekening. Hiermee zetten de initiatiefnemers een grote stap vooruit om West-Vlaanderen uit te bouwen tot het epicentrum van de ontluikende drone-industrie.
Unieke demonstrator voor waterstofproductie voor de kust van Oostende
POM West-Vlaanderen - De Europese Commissie gaf groen licht voor de subsidieovereenkomst van 20 miljoen euro met het projectconsortium HOPE (Hydrogen Offshore Production for Europe). Dit consortium - met onder meer POM West-Vlaanderen als partner - gaat hiermee aan de slag om de technische en financiële haalbaarheid van offshore waterstofproductie en vervoer via pijpleiding naar land aan te tonen.
